I have worked in social services for nearly 15 yrs, ranging from group homes, CPS, foster care agencies & psych hospitals. For the last 10 years my current day Job is with the State of California Dept of Rehab . That's vocational rehab, working with people with disabilities, helping them with figuring out what they want to be when they grow up no matter their age. I'm strong believer in helping people learn to advocate for themselves and embrace being empowered with their lives. I have a BA in psychology, minor in Women's Studies & a MS in Rehab Counseling from CSU Fresno with an emphasis in therapy. My goals with this blog are: 1. To help people embrace positive thoughts/outcomes in their lives 2. Encourage people to be able advocate and empower themselves to follow their dreams. 3. To not allow fear to govern their lives.
